Briefly, the Implementation Plan states the tasks, obligations, timetables and costs associated with the implementation of the new government. There is much to do since the objective is not only to amalgamate Kativik Regional Government (KRG), Kativik School Board (KSB) and the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), which might seem easy, but concretely, it also means the amalgamation of their board of directors as well as their powers, responsibilities, roles, functions, authorities, assets, jurisdictions, obligations, resources and privileges into one unified entity in Nunavik.
For the negotiators, the great challenge now is to ensure that the amalgamation of the three organizations is done in the best possible conditions and in the best interests of all Nunavik citizens. Above all, it must be ensured that the new government, as soon as it is created, will be able to replace adequately the three organizations and to operate at full speed.
