Week 3 Contest Results

question_results_3.jpgOur results for Week 3 of the Trivia Question contest suggest that some of you are guessing at the answers instead of looking and reading in the History section documents. If you've done your reading carefully your names were entered in the contest!

Week 3, Question 1 was: In which regions had the “commission approach” been successful before it was used by the Nunavik Commission?

The answer is: (b) The “commission approach” had been a success in preparing for the new territorial government of Nunavut and the Homerule Government in Greenland.

Question 2 was: Who made up the Nunavik Commission?

The answer is: (d) Nunavik, Quebec, and the federal government had representatives on the Nunavik Commission. It’s mandate was to come up with recommendations on the design of the Nunavik Government.

Winners were chosen from correct answers in each of the three languages. For Week 3 the English entry winner is Lydia Audlaluk, the French entry winner is Nancy Charland and the Inuttitut entry winner is Fabien Pernet.  We will be contacting you, the winners, by email so that we can make arrangements to send you your prize. All our contestants are encouraged to try again in Week 4 of the contest. Remember, the answers are in the History section of the website, so read carefully!
